It's My Fucking Birthday
Yes, it's true. I'm another year older today. I have to say I'm glad 33 is over, it was a tough year with that pesky cancer thing I went through. This year is already looking good, so much going on, so many possibilities. I feel great about my life right now. I feel lucky. I have the best group of friends in the world, a family who would do anything for me, I'm excited about my writing and school, and I'm interested in so much in this world. Days like today make me happy to be alive and grateful for everything I have.
Right now I'm grateful for Google's image search! Look at this poor dog! My cats would never wear a hat.
And...
Tonight my friends are taking me out to dinner to this really good Mexican place a few blocks from my house. Then maybe we'll go to a bar. My friends who came in town last night want to also go to a "club" at some point during their visit and are suggesting tonight. I'm not sure if I'll make it that long but we'll see. I think we're going on the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour this afternoon. It's a touristy thing that I've never done even though I've lived here most of my life. And the out-of-towners would dig it for sure. It seems like the perfect weather day for a sweet cruise up the river.
