Shows, shows and more shows!
Wow. It's been a while, huh? I'm still reading everyone, just not that inspired to write. I sort of have too many secrets to keep these days. Shhh!
I just watched the new Morrissey video. I don't know how I feel about it. He's mos def looking older, but I like the song. I was going crazy trying to download it on Soulseek the past few weeks and finally gave up. One guy has part of it and there are about 600 people in line ahead of me. Fuck that.
I did, however, get the new Magnetic Fields album off of Soulseek the other night. So far I like some of the songs but it's not grabbing me the way it usually does. And I sure loves me some Stephin Merritt. I wish it immediately hit me, but I will give it many, many more chances. I'm listening to it right now, in fact. Of course I'll buy it when it comes out but I had to download it because I just couldn't wait any longer.
Only 3 more weeks of school. Insane amounts of work to do. Blah.
Have I even mentioned that I'm going to Louisville next weekend to see PAUL FUCKING WESTERBERG and SONIC FUCKING YOUTH and PATTI FUCKING SMITH? I'm also going to see Polyphonic Spree and Sun Kil Moon for the first time! I'm pretty fucking excited. Plus it will be a good times road trip. The show is part of this non-commercial radio coference. It's going to be at this sweet old hotel and we're even staying there.
And, I'm going to see Prince for free in June! My friend, the doctor and therefore has lots more money than me, bought 4 tickets and is taking me! The show is at a big arena but she managed to get totally good tickets. It will be sweet.
Have you seen the Lollapalooza lineup this year? Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, Flaming Lips, Polyphonic Spree and more. I really want to go, but I am so phobic about those big, outdoor shows. I've been to tons but I just don't know if I can take it anymore.
That's all I really have in me right now. I don't want to write about boys, but there is plenty to tell these days. Oy.
