Just Like Heaven
Okay it's morning now and I'm over it. Well, it's actually afternoon and I'm waiting for A. to feel a bit better (i.e. quit puking) so we can head over to IHOP and nurse our hangovers. SPRING BREAK 2004! Woo! I'm so glad I'm not at class right now.
Tonight we're going to see this local band called Super 8 Cum Shot at a gay bar. I've never seen or heard them but I hear they're fucking great. I do have to work tomorrow so I hope I get my ass there. I think they don't go on until late. But gay bars are my favorite and I haven't been to one in far too long. I hope there's gay porn playing on TV's all over the place. Now that's just plain good times!
Last week I upgraded my operating system and my computer is now working fabulously. It's all fast again and no more blue screens. Before my computer would freeze up like 5 times a day and I'd have to turn it off by the power switch. That's no good. But now she's purring like a kitten instead of puking up hairballs like a kitten. Do kittens actually puke up hairballs? I think they have to get a bit older for that, you know, to let the hairballs build up. Maybe it's like catnip, they can't get high off catnip until they're older.
Oh! I forgot the biggest news of the week. I had to go to the doctors on Monday and guess what? No more cancer! The scans they did show nothing, the medical term is "unremarkable". Heh. In fact the scans were termed "grossly" unremarkable. No new growths, no weird fluids, nothing bad! And, I don't have to go to the doc for 6 months! Six months without doctors sounds like heaven to me right now.
Lots of good shows are coming up. Saturday I'm seeing The Long Winters and I'm super FUCKING excited. I'm seeing Sebadoh for the bajillionth time in a few weeks, Peaches is coming in May, Magnetic Fields in June, Dave Chapelle in June (yay!) and a lot more. Those are just the ones I can remember at the moment.
It's fucking cold in my apartment. It was all sunny and in the 70's here over the weekend and now it's back down to freezing and my heat hasn't really gone back on. It's a good thing I've got a warm kitty sitting in my lap.
